Weddings are normally booked month in advance. I already having bookings for 2018. But when a friend of the bride emailed me to ask if I would be free 2 weeks from that day, I knew it was a special one. The couple had planned to get married in 2017 but due to a family member being seriously ill the wedding was moved a year forward. The couple, friends and family all rallied together and the wedding was planned in 2 weeks. Don't tell the bride has nothing on this couple. I knew the day was going to be absolutley beautiful and it didn't dissapoint.
I arrived at the the couples house where the Bride was getting ready. Everyone was really chilled and getting ready and then before we knew it time was moving rather quickly. The plan was to leave the house by 12:45 to get to the city for the wedding at 2pm. After a mad dash the bridal party left at 1:20pm. A mad rush to the castle was ahead. Unfortunatley we also got caught behind a road traffic accident which added more delay. Our thoughts at this time were with the poor Groom who had been waiting for over an hour.
Eventually the bridal party arrived and the groom looked relived. Even before the ceremony had started the bridesmaids had teared up. It was an emotional one. The Bride walked down the isle with her Father and brother and then the ceremony began.
It was beautiful. Friends of the couple read a poem and tears were shed. I do's were said and finally after two mad weeks of planning it had happened. They pulled it off.
Photographs were to follow and the family ones were so important to the Bride. An everlasting memory of the day and the people they had shared it with.
The couple snuck off for a few couples photos before heading to a relatives for a small get together.
It was one of the most meaningful ceremonies I have ever witnessed.
